palm desert

Credit of this fun packed trip is owed to none other than Brittany Harper-for my birthday, Britt bought me tickets to an Odesza pool party in Palm Springs. (I know!! She’s the best!!)

One of my favorite things about spending time in Palm Springs is the drive up from San Diego. It’s all winding roads, desert landscape, cacti, and small towns.

(Pro tip: if you take the drive through the mountains instead of the 15N, they conveniently have a lookout at the top where you can over look the area. Pictured right, it’s stunning.)

It’s crazy how an hour drive can make you feel like you’ve travelled much farther. That’s the feeling I had when I arrived in Palm Springs. The environment of Palm Springs can be described as follows: palm trees, old fashioned, hot, spacious, and exciting.

Seeing Odesza, Jai Wolf, and Chet Porter was so fun, especially poolside in the dry heat of Palm Springs. While I love San Diego, my Central Valley born self loves when there is ZERO humidity.

The day after the event, Britt and I relaxed pool side to soak in the sun. I love sun bathing, even though I don’t always have the time to. We finished the night with some mini golf (on an actual miniature golf course meaning real grass/grooming) and some dinner with her parents.

This weekend was one for the books.

Highlights include: Odesza, Mini Golfing, Sassy Sunnies, One Piece Swim Suits, Tanning, and time with Britt.
