new york city

The only thing better than seeing New York City, is seeing it twice. This year I’ve been fortunate enough to visit the big apple both for fun, and for work!

Visiting New York in March was definitely a gamble. While we were lucky enough to miss a blizzard (by about 3 days), my Southern California self was still frozen to her core by the 40 degree weather. I did my best to pack warm clothes, but I really had no idea what to expect when translating that number to an actual feeling. Thankfully, we spent alot of our time inside whether it was shopping, at museums, or at shows.

The only thing we did that was outside for an (almost) unbearable amount of time was walking the Highline Park. This was definitely an experience different from something I’m used to in California because it felt very urban. The park is an old train track that was refurbished into a sidewalk. It was a great experience, but like I said it was cold.

Thank goodness for pizza! After walking The HighLine, we stopped at Artichoke Basille’s Pizza near Chelsea Markets for a yummy bite. The slices were HUGE but were amazing. The place was packed too, which is definitely a good sign considering that outside it

This trip was great because each day we just went with the flow and decided on the spot what to do. We were able to explore The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chelsea Markets, see the Top of The Rock, Walk 5th Avenue, shop in Soho, and see a couple shows.  10/10 would do it all again in a heartbeat.
Visiting New York with my Mama Bear was amazing.

Highlights: Seeing Hamilton, Sprinkles Cupcakes ATM, Tiffany and Co., and of course time with my mama bear.
